RE: We can't do without them ? Really ?
I posted the same thing he said more or less in another post in here. And its still just as true now as it was when I said it.You got 12 million {roughly} illegal immigrants in the country.Thier willing to work for a fraction of what even your average American teenage laborer would get for doing the same job. That makes a pretty good sized workforce and frees up a lot of extra money inside this country, you may not like to hear it but its true. They play a large role in the economy.
I wouldnt expect the economy to collapse as he put it but certain areas including a lot of construction, agriculture, and other manual labor fields would definatley get much more expensive.
On the other hand if you give them all amnesty, give them citizenship, and theyre all the sudden legal they will be expecting the same rate of pay as the rest of the country gets, maybe not at first but eventually. We would effectively be shooting ourselves in the foot anyway with this course of action, you may as well have just deported them.It would have the same effect on the economy.
Seriously, I think this issues been blown up by the gov't and media lately. You didnt hear nothing about it and suddenly its on everywhere all the time.Im not saying its not a real problem.I am saying that its pretty convienent that with gas at $3 a gallon and a unpopular war going on all the attentions been shifted to the Mexican border.Seriously, theres not any reason I can think of why it would be front page news for 3 months straight.
Theres not a good answer to the problem IMO.Personally I think they need to start by watching the border better and keeping more from sneaking across.Whats the point in deporting the ones we got if theyre sneaking in faster then we ship em out. After the borders better controlled{theyll never completely seal it } then would be thetime to start seriously looking at the ones still in the country.Untill then all this talk is useless.
