Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Huge Asteroid to Fly Past Earth July 3

An asteroid possibly as large as a half-mile or more in diameter is rapidly approaching the Earth. There is no need for concern, for no collision is in the offing, but the space rock will make an exceptionally close approach to our planet early on Monday, July 3, passing just beyond the Moon's average distance from Earth.

When does this asteroid come around again? Or will it? anyone? anyone?

Some do , and they've pretty well catalogued most of those . It's the new ones getting bumped from the asteroid belt that are the biggest cause for concern , they aren't predictable . Fortunately , Jupiter and Saturn protect us from the real baddies . The one Canuck Buck mentions is about the size it would take to cause a mass extinction , good thing it isn't going to impact us .
