Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default WMDs found so far de-classified!

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,200499,00.html
The below is a snippet of the article, but in order to fully grasp the WMD question one will need to read the whole thing.
Quote:
The weapons are thought to be manufactured before 1991 so they would not be proof of an ongoing WMD program in the 1990s. But they do show that Saddam Hussein was lying when he said all weapons had been destroyed, and it shows that years of on-again, off-again weapons inspections did not uncover these munitions.
BTW guess what is for dinner for some folks today?[8D]

But, with a sprinkle of Tony's, they will taste just like a $100 dinner of Pheasant Under Glass served at Tavern-on-the-Green restaurant.

The whole WMD was a moot point for me once they discovered in the early days of the invasion that Iraq still had long range missiles that had been banned after Desert Storm. Add in that Sarin Gas (or whatever it was) artillery shell that was discovered rigged as an IED last year, and the clue phone was ringing very loudly and repeatedly. But some folks tend to ignore that just like they ignore the fact that Iraq was harboring at least one major terrorist at the time of the war.

I was wondering when this would make the boards--figured there would be a few folks just busting to apologize.

Sounds like there will be a lot more than 500 once the report is de-classified. So far it seems there's beenat least 500 more found, 75% "loaded" with sarin or mustard gas.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist (no pun intended) to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Saddam had WMD's--he didn't attack his own citizens with a fly-swatter.

I am waiting for the folks who said they never existed to eat thier crow, but right now the silence is deafening!

Perhaps when a terrorist lights one of these fictional WMDs off in a subway or something some where they will eat their crow then, but knowing them they will blame Bush for not getting the WMDs immediatly.

I doubt that Ifferd is going to be impressed. I think that he falls in the camp that wouldn't be satisfied unless they discovered a nuclear warhead tipped ICBM aimed at Washington, D.C. with the launch clock counting down. Keep in mind that this is good evidence, but as the article reveals, it still doesn't represent the "slam dunk" that was originally proclaimed.

Iff:

Did he say that Saddam was an imminent threat or that we should act before he became an imminent threat?

Here's an interesting "take" on WMD and chemicals:
