Three police officers who went to the home Thursday couldn't get the bear to budge, so authorities let the animal finish its meal.

Does anyone else think that this bear will be back again looking for his place at the dinner table?

Speaking of bears....

Last month a bear was hit on the I-75 at the north end of Flint (Michigan), which is at least 150 miles from the beginning of bear country, not to mention in a fairly urban area. I believe this is the furthest known bear spotting that far south in MI. What up with the bears this year? Are they overpopulating? Not hunted much any more?

They've been allowed to grow their populations because misguided fools have perverted the intent of the court system to protect the "cute , cuddly bears" from the game commissions charged with keeping their numbers under control . Remember that dip**** who was on the Discovery Channel recently ? He and his equally twisted girlfriend got "cute and cuddlied" to death by one of the very critters that nutjob was trying to "protect" from USF&W up in Alaska . Expect to see more such stories , except that they'll feature innocent civillians more often than cowardly bunny huggers .

As for mountain lions in Ca., I've been signing that stupid petition to allow hunting them for years. They're so numerous now that they've had to kill three in the last two years on city streets. And I'm not talking small towns, I'm talking Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and San Jose. All three cities are in the San Francisco Bay Area. Where I hunt pig, I have just as good a chance at seeing a lion as I do a pig! Bobcats are legal to hunt, for about one week a year, and I never see a damned one.

That bear will be back, it has identified a food source and that lady had better be prepared for his return.
