China is investing heavily in Africa , a continent that western businesses and goob have largely ignored for decades as being too risky to invest in . Listen to what the Africans have to say about it , the parallels to here are spooky .

RE: Here's why we'll be speaking Chinese in fifty years
A quick review of our own industrial revolution period will easily bear out what this post is about , 150 years ago we weren't all that different from the way the Chinese are now . As little as 100 years ago the international language of business was French , today it's english, all airline pilots are required to learn english too , think about what drives that decision.

RE: Here's why we'll be speaking Chinese in fifty years
It will be interesting to see what happens to china in the next decades....I do not see how they will become a powerhouse as long as the government maintains an autocratic form of government...they made thier ecomomy work though despite every one elses predictions that liberalizing it would cause a catostrophic faliure of their government...yet there are hords of poor in the country, they have few natural resources, and the only 'developed' part is along sections of coast...the population alone does not mean that they will dominate, it takes more. I have NO idea what china will be like in 50 years..other than they will not be like they are now
