Default Rep. Kennedy to plead guilty to charge

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Rep. Patrick Kennedy has reached a deal with prosecutors to plead guilty to a charge of driving under the influence of prescription drugs in connection with his middle-of-the-night car crash last month near the U.S. Capitol

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/06/13/patrick.kennedy.ap/index.html

Two additional charges of reckless driving and failure to exhibit a driving permit will be dismissed under the plea agreement.
Announcing this, Kennedy's chief of staff, Sean Richardson, said the Rhode Island Democrat would appear in District of Columbia Superior Court Tuesday afternoon "to accept the consequences of his actions."

.....I feel bad for this guy.....

At least this time a Kennedy did not kill anyone. Of course, he wasn't driving near water.

I guess this is better than being drunk and shooting your friend in the face and not going to the hospital with him to make sure he is allright because one is to drunk and needs the rest of the night to sober up to be questioned by the police the next day..... Prescription versus alchol??? The prescription looks way better than alchol...

why would a man not show compassion towards a friend if he did bodily harm on him if he wasn't in the wrong of hiding something from the people??? Gods true people can't be decieved thru the darkness Rev...Stand by your party if you must but don't be blinded by your own ignorance.....

Over the last 40plus years, the Kennedy have proven themselves to be more like trailer park trash than the American royalty that some claim them to be.
