Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default WMD's

In a couple of different posts, I claimed that WMD's had in fact been found in Iraq. A few people said I was wrong and I said I'd find proof.

Here it is. I thought a new thread would be easier than trying to find all my posts. Plus, I thought it would give them the chance to have a whole thread on how these aritcles must be all made up.

I was curious too, as I had heard the same. After searching many news databases I have to say technicaly you are right, but... one of the reasons we went to war was to remove Iraq's WMD program and vast stores. Regardless of whether this was believed in the highest levels of our government(most of the world wasn't denying it), it ended up as false. There was no longer a program. Iraq either made others beleive they had much more than they really did in the 90's (they obviously had some as used on the kurds& Iran) or they destroyed it as they claimed to the UN. The couple barrels of nerve gas, a few filled morter shells, etc were misplaced/forgotten (they all were clearly old) untill found, as easily happens on that big of a scale. Regardless of what 'was' there were no stores or imediate manufacturing capability when we invaded. From what I read the 'labs' were outdated and unkept also. Iraq did of course violate many other UN sanctions regarding arms, long range rockets etc. I am not arguing the war, as pointing fingers does us damn little now, this is just my opinion on WMDs.

ho hum...now I leave and watch the fireworks from afar....

What matters now is that we stand as one....We all made mistakes before...Yes..Many lives was lost...I am a lucky one I didn't know any of the ones that was....I don't know how to feel about the war....After thinking about it I still don't know....There was a topic on the religion forum about a bowl of food in each room and people there with sticks and spoons taped to their arms and one room was of bones and another of flesh....I believe this is how we should be in the flesh and stand together and support one another instead of being concerned in how or what about ourselves....How was the food put there shouldn't matter but how to care for one another to survive should be the matter....

I have read a lot about the alleged WMD'S found or not found in Iraq. Look at the source of these articles...they kind of twist the facts to get to the conclusion they want...like the drones...remember the balsa wood models they called drones. Iraq didn't have much left after the first war...we destroyed most of what they had...then the embargo kept them from doing very much development. Operation Desert Fox in 1998 took out the last major stuff they had.

One way to make sure they didn't have much left was that they didn't use it. I asked a ranking officer how many Repub. Guard they caught carrying NBC gear. None...why was that.

If your home was being invaded and you knew the jig was up...would you hide your weapons....would you give them to your neighbors..no..you would use the damn things to protect your family. The difference between Iraq and North Korea is we know NK has WMD and Iraq did not. If we actually thought that we would have the kind of casualties involved in the use of WMD's we would not have gone to war.

I guess we'll all believe what we want. You guys believe the liberal media, and I'll believe the conservative media. I think we're all stupid for listening to any of them.

I'll never understand why it's such a big deal. We know he had them, we know he used them, we now know he had some (even if it is minimal), we know he would use them, and we know that he's an evil person. He and his government have and would do things that we can't let him do.

What's the big crying session about? Why would any person give a crap if he and his country cease to exist? The world is full of people that need killing. He's one of them. Innocent people in his country? Sorry, that's the way it goes. Some people die and don't deserve it. I'm sure I'll die someday too.

My government says it's a good idea to crush this guy and his government. O.K. Let's do it. I'm not gonna ask for proof. I'm willing to bet that if any of us were so well informed, smart, and right about everything, we wouldn't be talking politics on a hunting web site. We'd be helping run the country.

So whatever, I'll be happy with whatever my government does, so long as it keeps my country on top.

Pull up your big girl panties and deal with it.

Easy to also forget the massive convoys taking stuff from Iraq to Syria in the months leading up to the Iraq war... But I'm sure they were just carrying Saddam's toy train collection for safe keeping...

I seem to recall that in the days leading up to Desert Storm, Hussein ordered all his combat aircraft to be flown in mass to another country (was it Iran or Syria, can't remember), rather than using them in defense of his country.Anyone remembehearing about this?
