Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Election Day

I've been working the last 10 months on a local District Attorney campaign and it's over after tonight. Am I ever glad! I think my guy is going to win but either way I am celebrating. anybody else got anything going for Election Day?

Local elections here were in May. I'm glad they have come and gone.

yeah, gee. I got to pull extra security for the elections. All I got all day were comments about how law enforcement could be better used elsewhere and that they thought it was funny the county provided us with coffee and donuts.

Although, it was kinda funny that after all this time, they still give us free donuts to consume! Kinda setting ourselves up, I think.

Well my candidate did it. He received 62% of the vote against a 3-term incumbent for a landslide victory!
It was a nice conclusion to a long and hard fought campaign.

Elgallo114, I've noticed that the same people who tend to scorn cops and make assinine jokes about us are the first ones begging us to help them when they overload their mouths with other citizens. There's an old saying that it's better to shut up and let people think you're stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Some of our detractors apparently like to make sure nobody has any doubts.

Ifferd, congratulations on your dad and cousin winning as that is an accomplishment few people attain. Boysda, thanks for the support. It was a long 10 months but well worth the results. I can't wait for my guy to get to work and start fixing things.

Well said, my friend.
