Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Did a little googling and discovered that this story originated in the european press (swissinfo.com) and has since made its way fromone liberal blog to another (whistlestopper.com, democraticunderground.com, etc.).

It's no secret that David Albright has a bone to pick with the Bush adminstration. He was a weapons inspector under the UN during Clinton's presidency, missed severalactive WMDprograms under Hussein (remember, back when appeasement was the order of the day?), and has been criticizing Bush for years now.

Furthermore, Qaddafi agreed several years ago to dismantle his nuclear weapons program and cooperate with U.S. authorities (i.e. weapons inspectors). Ifferd makes it sound like Khan just today shipped materials to Libya. Get real!

It's also important to note that Musharraf fired, andlaterpardoned Khan for his smuggling activities.Because Pakistan is a very important ally in the war on terror, the U.S. has decided torespect Musharraf's authority over the matter.

I first heard it on AP radio news Canuck. I didn't see your question right away.

The story is true Canuck. It steps on some toes by showing how Pakistanprotects known terrorists while claiming to be our ally. As a resultsome folkstry to down play the facts with partisan spin.

No surprise there.

They'll do anything but try to disprove the story. Why? Because they can't prove it false.

Irritates the crap out of them to have to excuse known terrorist who walk free.
Ahhhhh roger that, I hear ya, thanks....
