The leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq urged Sunnis to confront Shiites and ignore calls for reconciliation in a new audiotape posted Friday on the Web, saying Shiite militias are killing and raping the Sunni Arab minority.
"Oh Sunni people, wake up, pay attention and prepare to confront the poisons of the Shiite snakes who are afflicting you with all agonies since the invasion of Iraq until our day.
They really can't seem to even wipe their own @#$es, so I think the whole getting along thing is a long way off. Until the extremists within both factions are killed or captured faster than they're produced, Zarqawi will probably get his wish. The Iraqi government is doing well for itself considering the circumstances, but they have a lot to be desired as far as governing the country with absolute authority.
If the Sunnis are wise they'll play ball instead of listening to nut case terrorists , at any given moment they're just moments away from being annihilated by the Shiites . Little dogs don't bark at the bigger dogs for long without getting bitten , and the Sunnis don't have anywhere near the numbers to take on the Shiites.

The Kurds don't care about any side but their own . There is also astrong possibility that they will splinter off into their own little country in the forseeable future , things will get very interesting if that happens since they'd be taking a big chunk of Iraq's oilfields with them.

The Kurds have been quiet thru all this .Are they just waiting to see whos side to take?
As some one else has already said, I doubt if the Kurds are going to take sides per say in this, but they will play which ever side leans towards them gaining independence form Iraq. The Kurds could really care less whether the Sunnis or Shiites have control, they simply want independence.

Yes , and since they aren't the rulers anymore and probably never will be again they think that they can stir the pot of anarchy and come out the winners . Saddam still thinks he's the prez of Iraq .
