SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger agreed Thursday to send the California National Guard to the Mexican border, ending a 17-day standoff with the Bush administration.[/b]

He just killed any hope of getting reelected , the latino vote is absolutely crucial in Kookifornia . Until I hear that they've been given police authority or shots have been fired I don't see this amounting to anything but lip service presense to appease DC .

There are laws and penalties on the books. No one is enforcing them. All the administrations have turned a blind eye to them. Right, big business is one thing controlling congress, another is no one wants to loose the Hispanic vote.. Bush has nothing to loose now, but the republican party has. It's going to be interesting how this plays out.
