If the USAsuddenly changedit's mind and started trading with Cuba, it would be embarassing ?

Ifferd I have felt that may be a factor (The Cuban vote), but I don't feel that normalizing relations with Cuba would crush communism there. Trust me, Castro would be pounding his chest claiming victory over the capotilist and the Cuban people there would eat it up!!! It would be good for the Cubans living there though, but the benefits to the US right now I don't see them, unless you want to count the additional profits travel agencies will make sending people to Cuba to spend their American money there.
