Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Bush: U.S. would aid Israel if attacked

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush said Tuesday that the United States would come to Israel's aid if it were attacked by Iran and welcomed the Jewish state's plan to define its borders.[/b]

http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/05/23/us.mideast/index.html

The prime minister and I shared our concerns about the Iranian regime's nuclear weapons ambitions," Bush said. "The United States and the international community have made our common position clear: We're determined that the Iranian regime must not gain nuclear weapons.

Here we go again ..>!!!!

I believe just about every single U.S. President since Israel was created as a state (in 1947 I believe) has pledged or stated the U.S. would help defend Israel if they were attacked. Bush's statement isn't really anything new.

You're exactly right, Cal. I'm sure some will criticize his statements simply because we're talking about Israel, but isn't that what allies are for? I would expect nothing less of the U.S. if Israel were attacked, just as I'd expect nothing less of the U.S. if Great Britain were attacked or Great Britain if the U.S. were attacked.

I agree with you both are saying...calhunter and ben

My statement " Here we go again ! " was just an exclamation as to Israel knocking on the US doorstep for support...they do this little visit the US show every time...

....the article also goes on to state they are seeking support from the Americans to deal with the Palestinian border issue in Gaza...they are taking advantage of the fact that the Palestinians are squabbling amongst themselves to push for a resolution to the map lines without the Palestinians voice...

They've done it before, have they not? Israel always conditionalizes aid.

Knock-knock...shalom america, Iran is going to bomb us can we get help?
And yes oh yes, BTW we are going to be sneaky and screw over some people but you didn't hear that from us, so you just look the other way and go play war for us, don't forget our military contracts....LOL
