JACKSON, Wyo. - The Northern Arapaho Tribe and a man accused of shooting a bald eagle on the Wind River Indian Reservation say the federal government should make it easier for American Indians to apply to kill bald eagles for use in religious ceremonies.
Seems to me eagle hunting should belegal for everyone or no one at all. As it stands now, this guy Friday broke the law and needs to face justice.
stupid law to still have eagles/hawks/raptors etc protected except for the few species that need it. theres tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands - to the point they NEED killed.
let 'em hunt the bald eagles and have a blast doing it unless someone/anyone can prove the numbers they'd shoot would have a negative impact on the populations
probably tastes like a Pigmy Owl would... maybe even like chicken...LOL
We have traffic accidents up here from people driving the highways, rubbering necking wildlife, watching all themany manyhawks and eagles hunt field mice n squirrels n such...
If the northernnatives want to hunt eagles for they're religious ceremonies, who are we to say no ?
nothing like a hawk and eagle salad sandwich with a side of pickled squirrel legs...mmmmm yummy....
Theyshould be able topick up eagle feathers from the ground it it's that important to their rituals , there's no need to kill an eagle just for a feather.

no need to kill a buck for its horns, wait til they drop, right ?
Since many record books recognize sheds and even roadkills then why even bother to shoot a buck in the first place?
There is no need to kill an eagle just to obtain a feather , and killing our national symbol is illegal for just that reason . Some of the native tribes want to eat peyote and/or smoke dope during their rituals , should that be legal too ?
