Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Maybe they will get gift /fruit baskets when they leave& garden aparments?

I got some gas masks axes, plastic sheeting, a few various firearms& ammo(expecting a 1,000 rounds of 30 cal whenever it comes in!delayed 2x,x[>:])

What color alert is a bad one?

Been Hot wet here(fuel for fires)- will be hotter dryier later- wish i didnt have a wooden house/ashfalt shingles- summer will be smoky the hills looking like big piles of coal smoldering at nite- some very close wildand fires in the past& up on the mtn side( lighting strikes ussally_ _

Maybe i should get my own personal fire truck?

should get some more water drums too.

dogs i have had are a pain in the butt.

But i could see where a ol yeller goodog could be a good alarm/alert- esp when yer getting deaf or down in the bunker.

The geese where much better- they layed eggs instead of just craping all over the house like the dogs did- till i eat them[&:]to noisy.

I find it totally hilarious that we're able to maintain a "secret" prison in the middle of a communist country that hates our guts for the express purpose of detaining dangerous terrorists and punishing them . Name another country since the former soviet union that could do that ? And we're concerned about world opinion ? Pfffffttttt !!

Guantanamo Bay Naval Station wasn't always a "detention camp" , the US won control of it during the Spanish-American war and just never left . It's been a thorn in Castro's side since before he siezed control and stands as an embarassing reminder that ol' Fidel doesn't control everything . It's use as a "prison" is a relatively new development , and not one other country has been able to persuade us to leave . And why should we , we took it fair and square .

Ifferd the last thing I would do is increase the number of pits at my house, if I had my way she would be gone now.

I have always felt these folks deserved a trial, in my book they do not even classify as POWs, and now that it is all over but the shouting in Afghanistan they should either be sent home or put on trial.

I hear ya Kev, what was the Naval Station used for prior to these detainees being shipped there?

I think that it would be a thorn in old Fidel's side too...

Trust me folks, the prison may be shut down, but as long as Fidel and his cronies are still in power Gitmo will be there like a festering wound in Castros side![8D]
