Actually , I'd love to see Gore lock horns with the Hildebeast for the party nomination , as Mr. Spock put it "The resulting torrent of illogic that resulted would be most entertaining ." Dean "greasing the skids" is an unexpected bonus . Ironically , Gore would probably win simply because of his gender and her baggage . As long as the GOP can scrounge up even a halfway marketable candidate and overcome the Bush backlash they should be able to keep the White House . If nothing else , the '08 election should be far more interesting than the last few .

It appears that if Gore wants to run he will be the nominee. He did get the most votes in 2000. He has been right on most issues, he was right on Iraq, global warming, and he knows policy better than anybody else. Hillary certainly has too much baggage and the Swiftboaters are just filing their teeth to get a chance to cut her to pieces. I hope she does not run. I don't know of any Republican that could go head to head with Gore in 08. It's his if he wants it.

If he had then he would now be in his second term . Six months of recounts that he demanded all the way to the SCOTUS proved it .

He has been right on most issues, he was right on Iraq, global warming, and he knows policy better than anybody else.

Then how come he isn't the one getting low approval ratings right now ? He knows policy , I'll give you that . Global warming is only a theory , Iraq wasn't even happening during the election Gore ran in . The only issue he's been right on is a citizen's right to use the courts to settle a disagreement , and he lost that too.

The Swiftboaters probably don't like her , but it was Kerry they sharpened their fangs for , not Gore since he wasn't running at the time. Were you even in this country during the last election ?

I hope she does , Gore would kill her for the nomination and dash any hope she has of getting to the White House . Hell , I'd pay to see that !

I doubt Al could win the POTUS election after the crybaby whining and court stalling he did after losing last time . Nobody likes a sore loser . He muddied the water too much and people got really tired of him . He does have far less baggage than the Hildebeast , but enough to keep him in second place unless the GOP runs a total loser . Once the political wags start asking him if he plans another court challenge if he loses the voters will remember what a sham he made of the election and he'll go down .

Remember , most of the idiots who voted for Kerry last time , up to 70% according to the political analysts , were actually voting against Bush , not for Kerry . That's the only real chance Gore would have , and he won't be running against Bush . You can bet that whoever does run for the GOP will be careful to distance himself from Bush . McCain already is .

Don't you remember the controvery during the 2000 election. The army of lawyers sent by the Republicans to Florida beating on the doors during the recount. Gore did win the popular vote. He could have stopped the electorial college tally from going forward if he had asked one Senator to join the house challenge...and he did not. It was funny how they asked him to step back...with the popular vote...I didn't here anyone asking Bush to step back. The swiftboaters are waiting to tell lies about anyone that stands it their way...democrat or republican...remember what happened to McCain in Georgia. He then gets his photo taken with his arm around Bush....now he is getting cozy with that lunatic Falwell....I have not use for McCain now.

Allegheny , if you honestly believe that the popular vote means anything anymore then you must be a contemporary Democrat . BTW , according to the SCOTUS , who interceded on behalf of Gore who demanded that they do , Bush won . Deal with it , he's almost out of office anyway .
