Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Seems to me there'd be a way to keep the birds away from there.

We got wind farms poping up all over here. There is talk of one being put in down the road from here pretty soon. Id say;"put them up, save the energy, and eat more squab."

By the way, each year we net a but load of Europen Starling just to keep their populations in check. This just might help out that problem as well.

The greenies want to protect the birds, so they need to get rid of cars, building with glass, and power/phone lines. They all kill loads of birds each year.

I can see this getting back to the shooting of feral cats because of their bird eating ways.

I'd say if the bird is stupid enough to fly into a 400' turbine, it's defeated natural selection long enough.

Some environmentalists said the spinning blades could kill countless rare birds that migrate through the area each year on their way to and from winter grounds in Mexico and Central America.
"Some Environmentalists" are nuts - some are not. The actual kill rate of these wind mills on birds would be miniscule.

Saying "countless rare birds" is an oxymoron anyway - indicative of an incredibly ignorant, mathematically inept, andoverly dramaticmentality...........

The birds can't be "countless" if they are by definition rare. Makes about as much sense as saying - "Look at thecountless number of toes on my left foot!!" (OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!!!!!)

[&:][&:]
ROFLMAO!!!!

In all seriousness, couldn't they tie some kind of streamer, sparkler, etc. to the blades and scare the birds away?
