RE: Are you serious???
You know, I'm not sure why I bother to read anything with a "MSNBC" byline attached. I know before I even click on the link that it's just going to be a biased bunch of bullcrap that's gonna make me mad.
But regardless . . . you gotta love the not-so-subtle little undertones in that piece, huh? So it's the Senate's fault, for considering a bill to tighten border security and in turn pushing the illegals towards the hotter desert near Yuma, that more illegals are dying? And it's the Minutemen's fault for making vigilante patrols of the border and driving them more towards the hotter desert near Yuma? Well may we just be damned straight to hell for trying to protect our border. The NERVE!
I understand that Prez Fox needs to lobby for floodlights to light the way and watering troughs to be strategically placed on our side of the border; that's his job to pander for votes from his people. But the American press ought to know better. Much of the mainstream media seems to be attempting to change the ebb of the tide of public opinion towards illegal immigration with their obviously biased reporting in recent weeks on this issue. Which really doesn't make sense, since the VAST majority of Americans are strongly opposed to this crap, and growing increasingly tired with the passing days as we're inundated with this B.S.
You know, I can appreciate the fact that the Mexicans are attempting to make a better life for themselves. I really can. But what part of ILLEGAL is really so difficult to understand? Memo to MSNBC, CNN, et al: They're breaking the law, dudes. Here's your clue. Now can I say that if I were living in Mexico that I wouldn't attempt to break the law to get into America? Absolutely not. But if I try it and I die . . . them's the risks. This pipe dream that MSNBC, CNN and the Mexican government take that America should just open our borders and let anyone walk across simply amazes me. How absurd.
