Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Lawsuit to Enforce Voting Rights Act--Against Black Politicians

Suit Turns Voting Rights Act on Its Head

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060502/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/voting_rights_lawsuit

Not that I'm encouraging the federal government to stick its nose into local politics, but consideringthe hypocrisy and double-standards that some black political leaders display, perhaps this lawsuit will actually be goodfor American politics. We're all equal, after all, so don't we have an obligation toprotect that equality?

So I take this Joker is pushing for segregation?
"participated in numerous racial appeals during primary and general campaigns and have criticized black citizens for supporting white candidates and for forming biracial political coalitions with white candidates."

I don't know Aught , civil rights is a federal matter , and you know how strident blacks have become demanding that their civil rights be upheld . I can't say I'm not pleased to see the shoe on the other foot for a change though , let's hope the trend continues until there really is equality for all instead of lip service .

Noxubee County "” a rural area along the Alabama line named for a Choctaw word meaning "stinking water" "” has a population of 12,500, 69 percent black and 30 percent white

The law was written to protect racial minorities in the 1960s when Mississippi and other Southern states strictly enforced segregation

and there you go, obviously whites are the minority and they need to be protected. Right ?

icing on the cake, isn't it ?
