Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Yep, just another sign that politicking is what really matters on such important issues. This kind of complacency is going to end up tearing this country apart from within.

Right, I know that thecorrupt third world is just dying to cooperate with the U.S., especiallyconsidering how their leaders do everything they possibly can to harm us and aid our enemies.

Having seen the ineffectual chain link fence at the San Ysidro border with Mexico I couldn't support a wall of any kind unless it was a wall of rapidly receding lead ...

A fence or wall would be useless unless it were heavily patrolled anyway , in which case you wouldn't need the barricade in the first place . The best wall we can place between our country and them is a long line of business owners going to jail and losing their shirts for hiring illegals . No jobs , no illegals , no problem .

I agree, but then again, this is America. We can and should do everythingpossible tosecure the borders and get illegals out of the country. WhenAmericans attack the problem from every angle, things have a way of getting done.

The limp-wristed policies coming from both parties is accomplishing absolutely nothing, and in many cases, is worsening the situation tremendously.

It comes down to lead , Aught , we either fling it or the business owners need to be lead(sic) to a cell . Without jobs the wetties have no incentive to swim the Rio Grande . An impossible cause offers more protection than any solid object could provide .

Don't get me wrong--I'm all for lead. However, at this point I think shaking things up in Washington will accomplish more in the short term than all the lead, concrete, and steel in the world will. If politicians don't start losing their jobs, particularly in the Senate, we'll be debating border security five or ten years from now, and probably longer.

I want walls, patrols, and enforcement of immigration laws, but since those appear to be a long way off, I'm devoting my energy to sending a message to both parties that they'd better stop screwing around and start offering some real leaders and thinkers.
