Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default First Venezuelan oil fields , now Bolivian gas fields .

http://my.earthlink.net/article/top?guid=20060501/445587c0_3ca6_1552620060501-986476655

Bolivia has ordered their Army to occupy the natural gas fields there with an eye toward seizing them unless the companies that are extracting the gas give the Bolivian goob an exhorbitant controlling interest . This is exactly what happened the moment the Saudis took over Arabia , they nationalized their petro industry that foreign companies(ours) had set up and all but kicked the foreigners out . Now the country with the second largest proven natural gas reserves has demanded near total control over the gas fields , what will their next move be ? Why not ask Hugo Chavez , the little tin Hitler who's running Venezuela , they're following his lead as he is the Saudis before him . You think $4 per gallon gas is an upcoming nightmare ? Stay tuned folks , it's gonna get a lot worse . [:@]

Just another in a long line of BS excuses. Nothing suprises me anymore. They are working from a high book of excuses. Got to keep things up until they luck out and the Hurricane season starts again.

Yeah, I am so glad we passed CAFTA. This was the predcted result, not the desired result. We opened up markets, the Banana republics were supposed to "spread the opportunity" within their country and enrich their populace. This is what I hate about these poor excuses for leaders in our country (both sides of the isle) and the POS dictatorships that rip US of and the USA off, and their own prople get the screw too.

The dictator walks with our money, and his peoples money in his pocket. Then he spouts all this anti-American BS. Then their people get all bummed out and hungry and come to the USA and we take care of them.

Out elected officials (both sides) are apeasers and champions of the path of least resistance. Both sides of the isle sells out the American public. That is the message in the immigration and these one sided "Treaties" we engage in.

America is dying. Condition critical! Sold out by her own elected leaders.

The freely elected Bolivian President, Evo Morlaes, who nationalized all petroleum resources in the country's territory, campainged on that very platform last year. He was elected on that very issue. He announced his intentions over 1 year ago whilegiving the private companys in control of the fields 6 months to negotiate a new contract.

Democracy means different things in different parts of the world whether I/we like it or not.

Democracy can even mean executing Christians in some nations........

Perhaps we should invade democracies and turn them into democracies??

Beside you, Ifferd, who is talking of occupying Bolivia? We didn't even bother to seize the oil fields in Iraq. Why would we try something like that in South America?

The seizures have nothing to do with democracy. Morales isblamingenergycompanies for keepingBolivia sopoor, and he's doing it to gain moresupport from theuneducated peasant masses. That's South American socialism at work.

Heck, he even came out and admitted that the Bolivian government doesn't even have the resources (economic, industrial, and human) to operate the gas fields without help from the companies already there. Morales is just another third world petty dictator who points the finger as his country slides further into poverty.

This pretty much sums things up.

I think this should be a wakeup call to the u.S. that we need to get rid of NAFTA, CAFTA and a lot of other treaties as other nations simply don't abide by them. We should figure out how to drill for our own oil in an environmentally safe manner and get real on developing nuclear energy with a real solution for dealing with nuclear byproducts.

Just another reason to drill Alaska, drill Florida, drill the Gulf, and drill Cal..

The old tired gripe, "not on my back door". Is done. Dont like the sight of an oil well on land you dont own, move.
