Every American taxpayer would get a $100 rebate check to offset the pain of higher pump prices for gasoline, under an amendment Senate Republicans hope to bring to a vote Thursday.
And how far is that $100 check going to go to offset the higher prices we're paying at the pump? Two weeks for the average American taxpayer? Maybe three weeks?
Why don't they put their heads together to come up with a real longterm solution?
I'm glad we're paying these fellas for their ingenuity.

Oh, never mind. I see now why they're doing it: They're playing one of them political games and attaching it to a proposal to drill in the ANWR. Good strategy.

Hmmmm, let's see.......we figure that we are paying about $1.50 too much per gallon, that should equate to about 66 gallons of gas ??? Why even bother.....oh yeah, some people need the votes !!! or are they going to take it back on our taxes like the credits we got years ago ? [:@]
