Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Shake up at the White house

McClellan Leaves White House Press Office AP - 9 minutes ago
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove is giving up his policy portfolio and press secretary Scott McClellan is resigning, continuing a shakeup in President Bush's administration that has already yielded a new chief of staff. A senior administration official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the president had not yet made the announcement, said Wednesday that Rove is giving up oversight of policy development to focus more on politics with the approach of the fall midterm elections.

So does this mean Rove is giving up oversight, or that he was booted?

Personally, I wouldn't want any of their jobs!

I'm curious also about what's behind all of these moves.

I'm certain there are lots of political considerations behind the moves, but in essense, I believe that Bush is trying to get some fresh air in his administration. Leadership has been severely lacking in DC, and this could be the Republicans first move to reverse that trend.

Remember, the congressional elections are right around the corner, and everyone has something to lose.

I think its a smart move On Gw's part. He is loyal to those around him, sometimes to a fault (Rumsfeld). But he knows changes are needed, I commend him for doing it.

It's new paint on a rusty ship. The rust will come back to the surface in short time. This is not a tangable change!
