Why did the Governor of Arizona , the state with the largest problems with illegal aliens , veto legislation that at least would have helped the federal authorities catch more *******s ? Why has she "declared a state of emergency" with regard to illegals , yet not provided the tools to do anything about it ?

Your thoughts ?

But why reelect a Governor who isn't dealing with the problem ? That doesn't make sense . If the police in Az could hold the *******s they catch for the INS guys then it sounds like there would be little additional cost to the Az taxpayer . This is the same arrangement Indiana DNR officers have with the police in our state when they catch someone committing a crime outside their own perview , and it seems to work well . There are more cops than INS agents in every state .

Yep, typical issue straddling. Sheobviously doesn't care too much about Arizona's problems, that is, as long as she's the one in charge.

She never intended on solving the problem. When she was nice and cozzy in her position, she said she would veto any such measure. Now that its is a big issue, and reelection is coming up, she proposed something she never intended on following through with. Simply to try to swing Rep. votes, or more so the voters on the fence. Or at least that is what I make from what i know of her actions in the past.

I have an idea , McCain is a Senator there with aspirations of being POTUS . Maybe if he served a term as Governor and actually did something about the ******* problem then he'd have a better chance at the polls in 2008 or 2012 . Janet knows she has no chance at the White House , so she'll continue to drag her useless feet .
