A secret fact-finding mission to Iraq -- not made public until now -- had already concluded that the trailers had nothing to do with biological weapons. Leaders of the Pentagon-sponsored mission transmitted their unanimous findings to Washington in a field report on May 27, 2003, two days before the president's statement.
The three-page field report and a 122-page final report three weeks later were stamped "secret" and shelved. Meanwhile, for nearly a year, administration and intelligence officials continued to publicly assert that the trailers were weapons factories.
What this report is saying is that the WHITEHOUSE KNEW this was BS, and still acted out as if it was true....

You neglected to mention a joint report from the Defense Intelligence Agency and the CIA (the day after the report to which you refer) that said that those trailers WERE weapons labs. The report was entitled, "Iraqi Mobile Biological Warfare Agent Production Plants." It said that there could be no other purpose for the trailers beyond biological weapons.
Here's right out of the report: "We have investigated what other industrial processes may require such equipment -- a fermentor, refrigeration, and a gas capture system -- and agree with experts that bio-weapons agent production is the only consistent, logical purpose for these vehicles."
They were obviously wrong but why would the president dismiss a report from his two most trusted (at the time at least) intelligence agencies?

Just keep in mind that Troy, an entire city was thought to be mythical because it was searched for for hundreds of years by many people. Well Troy was found and its suspected location was in much smaller area then Iraq and no effort was made to hide it.

Many americans don't support the war in Iraq...i'm one of them. I believe it was poorly considered and based upon false premises. I also recognize that upon this issue, reasonable minds may differ. That doesn't mean I and people like me don't stand with our nation.
The aforementioned, however, does notmake me a traitor. This is my country, I love it,and I'm not going anywhere.

Sorry but his death for nothing but a lie. would you tell that to the soldier that carried that dead mans body. would you tell a soldier that lost his arm it was all for nothing to bad for your loss. if you wont tell them that, then you wont tell me that. i dont agree with everything that the government does. but i also dont know everything that goes on behind the scenes. my vote or not our president was elected, and he was elected the same way as they elected presidents in the very first election.
