Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Protesters= band wagon or legit cause.

Yesterday I went out for a ride on my motorcycle and decided to ride into Abilene Texas to witness the protesting of the immigration bill. I road down by Sears Park, the place the rally was held. Not a big one, about 40 people. I noticed that the protesters were waving Mexican flags (I guess they didn't get Lulac's memo). I couldn't help myself, I pulled over and asked some of the young people there, 20 to 30 year olds, what was up. I played real dumb. All I could get out of them was," were protesting." I asked, "what are you all protesting?" It was apparent the individuals I was speaking to had no clue. I got answers from others like, "we are protesting racism?" Yea, that's what I was told by a few, Racism. I also asked why they were waving Mexican flags. I was told, "were Mexican", with arolling of the eyes as ifI was clueless.I did findotherswho told me that they were out protestingfor the rights of illegals. And the odd thing, these individuals were waving American flags.Don't know the purpose of this post, I just found it very interesting. I took from this experience, thata lot of the people I saw had no clue, just were on the bandwagon. I guess it was a good excuse to get out of school and work for most.

Itseems to bea mixed bag of protesters looking for a bandwagon?

Burnie, how bewildering...a very interesting post...I can only try to imagine that if I was an illegal and suddenly there's power in numbers, would I be there trying not to get busted....LOL...but at the same time, Iwonder if governementcameras are rolling and recording who is attending these large rallies...iswhat they are doing not classified as a riot? illegals riot makes for bad headlines? Do they even have the right to protest?

I also wonder if it were any other group of people, what would be the policing outcome? Probably best to take stock of numbers first then plan some action. Seems like they are being flushed out...?

The BBC interviewed some of the French rabble-rousers "protesting" in Paris recently. They had no idea why they were there. Union bosses had trucked in a bunch of unionworkers and students who knew they were getting the day off work/classes but not much else.

The deal seems to be similar for the protests in CA and TX from what I've seen. A bunch of students who haven't done an honest day's work in their lives but they think they have it all figured out.

It's probably not uncommon for protesters to not know what they're protesting. Organizers just need numbers. Uninformed just think it's enough if they show up

I'm not sure I know EXACTLY what they are protesting for. Do they want citizenship with no strings? Just to be left alone? What?

would it be like this example?

My 10 buddies and I robbed a series of banks and we are hiding out from the law because we know we did something illegal...suddenly some senators want to outlaw robbing banks and treat us as criminals....oh wait...it was already illegal...oh wait....we are criminals...oh wait...well I am going to get everyone I know to come protest anyway...LMAO...and they tell two friends and so on and so on...

Someone made an interesting point on the radio this morning . . .

It was estimated that nearly a million illegals turned out yesterday to protest. If what we're told is true, that illegals are so engrained in our economy that removing them would cause the economy to collapse . . . how's come a million of them took the day off work and nobody noticed???

Of course a lot of these 'protesters' don't know what they're protesting. If they had a clue, they'd be at work providing for their families like a normal person would, not milling about in the street waving foreign flags and disrupting traffic.

You know what I noticed yesterday? It took half as much time to get to work because thehighway wasn't clogged with sputtering vans carrying dozens of day laborers.

THey asked one of the protesters on the new why he was there and he said because he had Puerto Rican blood in his family and was showing support for fellow Puerto Ricans. ??????

This was on the local Wash Dc news.
