Calling 911 and getting an idiot!!!!

This is a truly heart breaker, 6 year old little kid calls 911 because his mom passed out, the 911 operator blew the kid off, not once, but TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!!! They finally had the cops show up 3 hours later, his mother was DEAD!!!

The person in charge of the 911 operation in Detroit said this may result in possible discipline!!!! I would break my foot off in her posterior!!!![:@]

I dont even know what to say. Thats horrible. I remember when the 911 system started. They were quicker on prank calls than they were on legit ones. I guess times have changed.

I don't know about Michigan, but in Wisconsin if someone makes a 911 call, the police and/or fire department is dispatched immediatley, prank or not. You ask how I know that ???? well.................. when our office got our new phone system in, we had to dial 9 first to get an outside line, like many businesses do. the only problem was that if you got interupted and lose your train of thought, you could dial 9-1-1 if you were trying to make a long distance call.
Well, I got interupted and the girl answered saying "911, whats your emergency" !!!!

After explaining that there was no emergency, about 10 minutes later, the police show up at the company door, and give us a warning. After 3 warnings, you could get a fine. !!!!

Thats why I find it hard to believe that the dispatcer in this case did what she did, and they should have some form of harsh discipline !!!

BTW, we now have to dial a 9 on any outgoing calls, even 911. they changed that after the second wrong 911 call was made from our office.....by the president of the company, LOL ~!!!!

priz it is the same way here in Virginia, there was a story last year where a 3 year old saved his dads life by calling 911!
