On Monday Iran said it tested a second new radar-avoiding missile during war games in the Persian Gulf that the military says are aimed at preparing the country's defenses against the United States.
I'm inclined to take anything the Iranian goobermint says with a grain of salt large enough to fire from a trbuchet , they might have the cash for that level of whizzbang(which I actually doubt) , but they don't have the level of technological expertise to concoct what they claim to have . Someone also seems to have neglected to tell them that while their alledged flying canoe might be impervious to radar the missiles it fires are not . I was in the Navy during the early days of the Vulcan Phalanx Gun and I've seen what one can do to a missile when it's pissed , I'm not losing any sleep . This assumes that it got close to a ship before an AAMRAM or Sea Sparrow got it first . Much ado over nothing , as usual ...

I figure it is all propaganda similar to the threats that come out of North Korea by the midget with bad hair. They make claims of developing superior weapons and technology and do so for the purpose of putting themselves in a better place when negotiations start. Most of those countries feel that in the end they will get more aid from the free world if they are in a strong position. Sanctions turn into aid if they play ball. If they truly don't want anything from us then they claim they have developed nuclear weapons and will use them on any invader. That threat takes the edge off traditional military superiority. Same scenario that kept the cold war going all those years. The threat of what might happen is certainly a deterrent.

Looking at the photo of the craft from the linked article, it looks like it was cobbled together in someone's garage.
Maybe the Iranians secretly hired Jamie and Adam from Mythbusters to design it for them. Is that a leaf blower bolted to a bar stool on top of the fuselage?

What I think is interesting is if you look at the picture in the link Canuck Buck provided, it shows it on Iranian TV. But it also shows the Fox News logo, the Dow and the banner that says that Moussaoui is eligable for the death penalty. Ah hel*, maybe it's not that interesting . . . .
Good eye there NC, this post is about a single item that the Iranians are boasting about...they are definitely working on they're delivery systems for sure...target has to be Isreal...but wait...
they are only working on Nulcear energy for domestic purposes right?
LOL...
Saber rattling and rhetoric, a political show?
What ever happened to all those poor folks caught in the earthquake there? I think they feel better now that they have a stealthy flying boat...
The contraption atop the plane looks like somebody photoshopped it in. There is no way such a contraption would be able to avoid radar. On the plane design, however, I noticed it looked like it had a large window where the pilot sits. I don't think that would successfully evade radar. Of course if we really want to know how well this thing works, we could simply ask Israel as i'm sure they have been monitoring this these maneuvers and also running a few tests of their own.
