Default Insider trading

Do you know that it's legal for a member (use your own definition of member) of Congress and their aids to use the inside information they obtain through their position to buy stocks?

According to what source please ?
I'm fairly certain that it isn't legal for anyone to use inside info.

Satisfactory Charlie , and isn't it funny how our so called leaders don't care to live by the same rules that they expect us to obey ? [:@]

This is bogus. There should be a law specifically prohibiting senators, congressmen and everybody else in government from buying or selling stock based on insider information until AFTER that information has been made public. Once it's public, then it should be fair game for them just like everybody else.

Ditto! In Texas, a legislator pays I think like $700/month. Yet people seem more than willing to give up jobs that pay over $200,000/year to get them. Then all of a sudden, after they are elected, they start driving nicer vehicles and buying large commercial properties and vacation homes. What really amazes me is when one of them divorces. Somebody that is supposedly a humble public servant all of a sudden has to pay out millions in a divorce. ??????
