Anti-seal hunt seafood boycott called 'phoney'

A U.S.-based consumer group is questioning what it calls a "phoney" Canadian seafood boycott being organized by an animal rights group opposed to the East Coast seal hunt.

The group also found more than 45 per cent of the restaurants on the society's list have never served Canadian products.

Last I heard, the sealers were throwing seal guts at the protestors who are in the inflatables that were running into or blocking the fishing boats...

well the procedure is that the fishing boat captains need to notify the ministry and report the protestors as interfering, then they can be arrested. Digital and video cameras also work against the anti's...LOL

The protestors know this and stay in the inflatables and just zoom in and around being idiots...blame it on the ocean waves, yea sure...they recruit new morons every year....I would throw some intestines at em too...

Baby Seal hunting was banned in the 80's ( the cute wittle ones with the white fur )...they are protected...but after they reach a certain age they are fair game...

None of the seals go to waste...

Cameron, throwing some lead makes sense but it would land the entire boat in dry dock and all it's occupants in lock up...

There's Ministry monitoring going on, and anything else such as this being reported would probably be just shenanigans on either side...LOL

Unless someone loses it of course !
