Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Big buckin' chicken?

Maybe a bug-eyed, razor-beaked fenark?

The specimen, known as Archaeoraptor, captured the attention of the scientific world when unveiled by the National Geographic Society, US, in October 1999.

It reportedly came from a site in China's Liaoning Province that has yielded a host of exquisitely preserved early birds.

With its mix of dinosaur and bird-like features, many palaeontologists believed that Archaeoraptor captured the moment in evolution when dinosaurs were experimenting with flight.

Fantastic ! The missing link that clearly shows how birds seperated from dinosaurs ! Gosh, this is GREAT ! Shows all the bible thumpers, don't it Gobbler !

Uh oh ............ wait a second ........

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archaeoraptor

By January 2000 the fossil had proven to be fraudulent and National Geographic retracted their article and promised an investigation. In the October 2000 issue, the magazine published a retraction and an article about the case

Wow, that sucks for Science huh ?

Lets talk Piltdown man now, anyone game for that ?

Again I have to keep stealthy honest. He is only painting half a picture. Need I bring up the "Shroud of Turan", or the millions of holy grails circulating?

Archaeopteryx (pronounced /ɑː(ɹ).kiːˈɔp.təˌɹɪks/) meaning "ancient wing" (Greek archaio = ancient + pteryx = wing), from the Late Jurassic of Germany, is the earliest and most primitive known bird. The discovery of the first intact specimen, Archaeopteryx lithographica, in 1861, two years after Charles Darwin published The Origin of Species, set off a firestorm of debate about evolution and the role of transitional fossils that endures to this day.
Over the years, ten specimens of Archaeopteryx have been found. "All ten fossils were found in a limestone deposit near Solnhofen, Germany." [1] The fine-grained limestone, which preserves detailed casts of features not often fossilized, is used by artists and printers for lithographic plates, hence the name lithographica.

In the 1990s, the discovery of a number of well-preserved feathered dinosaurs in China solidified the link between dinosaurs and birds
