Cobra II sounds like a best seller in the making and from what I have heard by the authors discussion of the book, it lays out in vivid detail the failures of Rummy.
I have not read the book yet, but from what I gather it also takes issue with the generals that did not take a stand when they were being pushed into decisions that were not sound. I guess when they saw General Shinseki get canned for contradicting the politicians, they all decided to get in line.
Well, I can see why he is retired. He's a freakin idiot with that logic.
I think rums has done a pretty good job. Its a tough job to stand up to the pentagon. And many administrations have bowed down to the pentagon. He has stayed the course.
So your happy with a man who does a piss poor job as long as he is stubborn?
Its also very hard to call a guy an idiot when Rummy's planning and running of the war has been poor by even Bush's standards. So even though Rums is screwing up alot, he should stay the course and continue to screw up? Already crank the whole pitcher of kool-aid by yourself didnt ya?
