In addition, a similar study conducted over a 13-year period by the same research center revealed a direct correlation between abortion and death specifically from suicide, accidents, and homicide. Once again, medical records were linked that signified a relationship between the cause of death and abortion. Some of the findings include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Female deaths from suicide, accidents, and homicide were 248 percent higher in the year following an abortion when compared to deaths among women who had not been pregnant the previous year.
- Women who had an abortion were six times as likely to commit suicide than women who gave birth the previous year.
- The results of a 1997 Finland-based study were confirmed, which found women who had had an abortion were 3.5 times more likely to die in the following year as compared to women who gave birth.
The mortality was lower after a birth (28.2/100,000) than after a spontaneous (51.9/100,000) or induced abortion (83.1/100,000).
i'm sorry, i do understand the point you're making, but just don't find it relevent. there's all sorts of high risk behavior, that people choose to engage in, that we as a free society don't prohibit. let's stay away from unprotected high risk sex, and go straight to the ones that hit home with most people-drinking and smoking. serious public health risks, yet we don't outlaw them.
you're argument that abortion is the taking of a human life is really your best one, upon which (imho) reasonable minds may differ. this one, however, is a red herring. the "abortion may ultimately prove to be harmful to a woman's physical or emotional health, therefore, we're gonna make that choice for her" argument just doesn't cut it. too big-brotheresque, and can be applied to too many other choices or activities that are considered a personal choice.

But oh, we DO outlaw them when they startendangering other peoples lives ! You cannot drink and drive, can you ? You can't smoke now in many public places (thank gawd) and high risk sex ? Can't do prostitutes now without condoms because of AIDS.
bow where it all ties in ........... Charlie P and others have argued that women who have been raped or are pregnant through incest need the option of abortion to better their lives by not having to carry the baby to birth. They're went as far as saying that abortion in general they wouldn't mind seeing outlawed, but in these cases they want the woman to choose for the betterment of her life.
This information as well as others I've listed backs my stance all along that abortion harms women mentally and physically, so much so that no one can possibly say that a woman is better off having an abortion.

Thats the exact thing I have seen but worse in the women I knew who had abortions. The whole thing just seem to permiantly scar the person emotionally, all of them wereon some sort of mood stabilizer.
But hey, Charlie Psaid the exact opposite that all the onesheknew grew up to be super success's and life waspeachy since killing the unborn infant. So who knows.
Maybekillingjust don't bother some more than others?

What did you see ? I saw many sites using both searches come up with link after link on places to find how abortions HURT the women who have then.
I didn't see one that was gloriosuly rejoicing in the abortion, did you ? And if theres so many sites like that ........... makes even the hardest core pro-abortion people acknowledge that hey, maybe its NOT a good thing after all. Kills the baby, damages the woman for life .......... thats lose/lose

but like you said, could just be the people I know, the ones you know have peachy lives and a big power career dodging that bullet.
I never said that.
You know I just visited a few sites that use 43% of women have an abortion by 45 stat, they just happen to leave off that miscarriges are included in the stat.

I'm done with this topic. No women while I was with them ever had an abortion, making them illegal won't stop them and most of what I'm reading is based on assumption or false hoods.
You folks can continue totry and put words in my mouth if you want.
Hopefully if abortion does become illegal, people will become as active helping out the mom's that end up having these kids, because everything isn't as black and white as some think it is.
