Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

New polls released in the last week. See guys, I told you Rush is in idiot. Bush has seen about a 5-7 point drop in each poll.

I'm sure it makes your heart very warm to know that despite any of these polls, Bush still has about three years leftin office.

Polls really don't mean squat. If people haven't learned that from the last national election, I guess they never will.

Spew lies about the port deal "exporting our national security abroad," then race to poll those brainwashed from those lies and measure the regurgitation from the everyday joe who hasn't been given the facts. Great leftist plan!

It does my heart good because I hope either the house or the Senate will switch seats and Little Lord Faulkeroy will have to finally deal with an opposing view and quit demanding and dictating to his Republikan Congress who follow him blindly in lock step no matter what ill-fated endeavor he embarks upon.

So what?
History never judges leaders, men and women by polls. It judges them by what they saw was right to do and steadfastly set out to do it.

Pres. Lincoln was very unpopular through almost his whole Presidency. He freed millions of people and save the union with the blood of 100,000's of men who fought during his terms.

Ronald Reagan called for and took the actions in spite of non-stop brutal personal attacks by the Left-wing losers. Hundreds of millions of people in Eastern Europe and around the world are free, because of what he, PM Margaret Thacker and others like them said and follow up with in action.

PM Churchill broad his nation through the darkest days of WWII and the Battle of Britain and yet not a year after the war ended the ungrateful lot voted him out of office!

People (who take and go to polls) can be fickle and shortsighted. Good and great leaders know what they believe in based up principals and stick to them in spite of what the ignorant and gullible lot think.

Keep on Pres. G.W. Bush.

You know, on that whole principled and stick to your belief thing....

I had a little springer spaniel once upon a time. He had a doggie door to go outside in the back. For some reason, the dog was convinced that the front door had a doggie door on it as well...........alas, it did not.

At least twice a week, the little liver and whitedog would hear the doorbell and go running full bore at the door, expecting to be let ouside through a door that did not exist and never had. Invariably, he would wind up on the floor, at times his eyes rolling up into the back of his head. Considerbale training attempts by my mother (a horse woman and trainer from the age of 2) however, the little dog held true to his convictions. His beliefs were solid, they were not negotiable. Despite my mother's best efforts, the little dog insisted on believing that the front door had a doggie door as well as the back door. He knew what he believed, and he was not going to alter his course for anyone or anything.

History will judge this little dog and his actions. Some of (mostly family members) think the dog just lacked enough gray matter between his ears to make him capable of distinguishing right from wrong. However, the little dog believed that the family was too shortsighted, and that History will judge his actions, and only twenty or thirty years later will we be able to judge the actions of this little dog, and truly see his foresight in slamming his head into a 2-inch solid oak door.

Now I have german hunting dogs imported and tested in the JGHV. They disappoint me. They lack conviction. Why just this week, my female who usually likes to go outside during the day refused to stay outside. It was -19 below zero at my house with a windchill of about -35. I could not believe her. What happend to her belief system? her convictions?

Oh how I long for the days of that little liver spaniel head thumping solidly against a hard wood door. I lost a lot of respect for my female dog that day. Sometimes she likes to go outside, and then she changes her mind and decides she does not want to go ....what a flip flopper.

Well, let's see. Clinton signed the Brady Bill into effect in 1993. Bush has had the House and the Senate since he took office in 2001, and got the Senate in 2003. He now has the Supreme Court.

How many Republikons have introduced legislation to repeal the Brady Bill? He let the assault rifle ban sunset, but never came out and supported it.Seems like with the Republikons running the House, Senate, Supreme Court and the Presidency, there are others to blame regarding gun laws.

Again Great point Alaska. They have everything in place to repeak the brady bill, yet we have not even heard it mentioned. Seems they are not as pro gun as they and the NRA would have led America to believe.
