Apparently PETA is claiming that Feld Entertainment (owners of Ringling Bros. Circus) has engaged in extensive corporate espionage operations against them. I don't have all of the facts, but naturally my first impression is that PETA is looking for money and press time. No stunt that they ever pull shocks me anymore. And what's worse is that even if Feld is cleared of these charges, they've still had to put up with the hassle of a trial, in addition to the steep legal fees. PETA wins no matter what!
Who knows, maybe Feld did "spy" on PETA. But considering that the group is compromised of idealist nutjobs who loudly express theirgoal offreeing allcircus animals, I really wouldn't blame them for protecting their corporate interests. Whether or not such activities would violate the law is up to the judge and jury.

"Spying" is a subjective term , PETA doesn't exactly make their agenda , particularly toward circuses , any big secret . Feld should counter sue for harassment , they'll have a much better chance of winning . Personally , I'd love to see Feld do to PETA what The Southern Poverty Law Center did to the KKK .
