Well UK was controlling them.I rather have americans controlling our own ports. Other than americans who would you rather see owning them?We do have strong ties with the UK and just buddied up with the arabs.Kepping your enemy closer is a bit toclose here.

We do have airbases in UAE. The reason we're approving this deal is because there isn't much valid reason not to. It's a transfer of business operations from one foreign company to another.

In addition, we're showing the UAE and other Arabs countries with U.S. business and anti-terror relationshipsthat we keep our word and deal with others rationally.

That's the short and sweet of it.

Ifferd, the public record is right in front of us. Everyone has witnessed the debates we've had. Why do you continue toactvictorious?

I don't make personal insults unless they are valid and appropriate. I call BS when I see it. Always have, always will. When someone acts like a dumb@#$, I will call them a dumb@#$.

Diversionary tactics? Like creating three of four threads filled with the same topic and arguments of another thread in which you could not defeat me? Everyone's watching us, Ifferd, and they see you take off and try to spread yourgarbage around elsewhere.

If there's one thing that's changed with me, it's my lack of patience for the kind of BS people spew in order to insult our president. I criticize him like the rest when he screws up (border security, anyone?), but I will not sit by idly while others smear him simply because they don't like him.

If someone could offer real reasons as to why he should be smeared, that would be one thing.But when someone complains about him "because he sucks" or because "he's letting raghead take over our ports", or something to that effect, I'm going to call them on it.
