lol BC you dont want the goobment tellin ya you gotta have a helmet but you make your housemouse wear a full facer???

I have a full face but it's for my bassboat during rain or cold weather. I used it on the bike lastyear when I rode too my dads (Hot Springs, AR) for the AR State Hog Rally. The forecast was storms the entire 250 mile trip (which were mostly right!). The helmet was great for keeping the rain off my face (feels like gravel at highway speeds) but I HATED the decreased visibility and hearing with the thing. That was in AR which has no helmet law for adults. I couldn't wait until I could get rid of that brainbucket. [:'(]
My wife rarely rides in the first place (we have 3 small kids) and that pic was taken while in a 15-20mph parade of a couple hundred bikes when my bud opened his brand new location for his HD dealership across town from the former location. Yeah, if we are leaving town she has denim and boots on. As for the helmets, her opinion is just like mine... if I'm in a severe wreck I would rather go on too the great beyond than have a 8# helmet stretch out my spinal column and leave me a veggie for my kids to spoon feed for the rest of my life. I have NO beef with those who do wear helmets, like most say we just think the decision should be up too those of us who ride.
As for the seatbelt arguement, I don't wear one as often as I should but I don't dare equate a seatbelt with a helmet. The seatbelt is there to keep you from flying through the window and becoming a wheel chock or jackstand under your vehicle. They also keep you safely positioned for maximum safetyshould the airbag deploys. With a bike it's different. If you have a wreck you are pretty much screwed anyway.I realize wemake that choice whenwe get on!!!
