Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default in comparison to what Cheney did ........

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/basketball/ncaa/02/15/bc.bkc.oklahomast.sutto.ap/index.html

There. Sutton INTENTIONALLY took drugs and alcohol then took to the road. He INTENTIONALLY did that and luckily it only injured himself.

Cheney made a mistake, an accident.

Get off Cheney and start hammering Sutton because what Sutton did was far worse.

Cheney had some alcohol and then went hunting with a gun. Whats the difference? Sutton leads a basketball team, Cheney helps lead the country. Sutton had to talk to the cops right away, Cheney talked to them 12 hours later.

Was Cheney cited for being drunk ? Sutton was. Was Cheney charged with the shooting as Sutton was with the car wreck ? No, one was an accident, the other wasn't.

The handling of the situation also raised questions about whether Cheney had been drinking at the time of the shooting, about 5:50 p.m. Cheney told Fox he had had a beer at lunch, but the hunt did not begin until "sometime after 3 p.m."

"The five of us who were in that party were together all afternoon. Nobody was drinking, nobody was under the influence," he said.

The Kenedy County Sheriff's Department, which interviewed Cheney about the accident Sunday morning, concluded there was "no alcohol or misconduct involved in the incident." A state game warden gave Cheney a warning for hunting without a required stamp on his license, for which the vice president's office later submitted payment.

Armstrong, a longtime friend of the Cheney family, told CNN before the vice president's interview that she never saw Cheney or Whittington "drink at all on the day of the shooting until after the accident

A hunting accident is likely to always be a bit delayed in the investigation. Auto accidents are immediate. Not to mention a local county sheriff isn't exactly going to demand the Vice President be taken down to the local rat hole Sheriff's office for questioning, you know ?

Who the **** is Sutton and why should I give a damn? I know Cheney is the VP of the United States. What does this other guy do and why is it relevent? Is he a cabinet member or possibly just a big political contributor?

If Cheney had 1 beer and didn't begin hunting until 2+ hours later, it is almost a given that he wouldn't have any alcohol in his system. Drinking 1 beer would not likely put a person much above .02. An average detox rate is .02 per hour, depending upon a person's bodyweight/mass, etc.

Cheney has had a life time of heart problems. People with heart disorders are always put on blood thinners.Anyone taking these blood thinners is not allowed to drink any more than a beer a day.

Just to straighten out your comment about Cheney not talking to the cops until 12 hours later you may want to get your facts straight. Here is a link to the police report on this whole thing. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0216061cheney1.html

To save you some time, the incident was reported to the local police by the secret service in less then an hour after it happened. The secret service asked if they would be sending someone out to speak to Cheney. The policespoke to an ex-sherrif who was on the ranch when this happened and he told them he had already interviewed several people involved and it was simply a hunting accident. At that point in time the police decided to wait until the following morning to talk to Cheney and other witnesses which they did.

In a very simple way according to the police report it was the police that decided not to interview Cheney until the next day!!!

It is funny how some people try and rationalize this thing.

ifferd Cheney has all ready accepted FULL responsibilty, he said "You can't blame anybody else, I pulled the trigger and shot my friend."

What more do you ask of him?

Should he shoot himself?

Cut a finger off?
