While the libbie/pinkofags are watching CNN "THE most trusted name in news" slant their latest blather, Cheney has given an exclusive interview too Brit Hume and FOX. They (Fox) just released a video segment whereby Cheney said, "The bottom line is I am the man that pulled the trigger and shot Harry, it's not his fault. I'm the guy that pulled the trigger and shot my friend"!
"Catherine Armstrong is the one who suggested that she go make the initial statement (about the accident) and I agreed". OK so no SUPER SECRETIVE coverup was hatched by The White House. Hume asked him, "What do you think about that now?" Cheney said, "I STILL think it was a good decision".
LOL this story just won't die, it's got more twists and turns than Road Atlanta! But I am just elated that Cheney all but told the libbies to kiss his rearend by giving the exclusive interview too FOX!

The interview will be aired in its entirety on FOX @ 6pm EDT.
Yup it was just a bunch of liberals that wondered why Cheney hadn't commented on this yet.
Cheney's slow, unapologetic public response to the accidental shooting of a 78-year-old Texas attorney turned last weekend's quail-hunting mishap into a political liability for the Bush administration and prompted senior White House officials to press Cheney to address the issue publicly, several prominent Republicans said Tuesday. It apparently worked. Cheney today taped the interview with Fox to tell his story. The Republicans said Cheney should have disclosed the shooting Saturday night to avoid even the suggestion of a cover-up and should have offered a public apology for accidentally shooting Harry Whittington, an attorney from Austin. Whittington, 78, was hospitalized Saturday night in Corpus Christi, Texas, and was returned to intensive care Tuesday after suffering a minor heart attack. "I'm sure that they wish that they had handled it differently. I'm sure they maybe thought that it wasn't so serious, but it has turned out to be," said Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas. "I don't know what their thinking was." Marlin Fitzwater, a White House spokesman under the first President Bush, said he was "appalled" by the handling of the incident, telling Editor and Publisher magazine that Cheney "ignored his responsibility to the American people." Robert Michel, a former House Republican leader from Illinois and a longtime friend, said he is mystified that Cheney has not expressed his feelings publicly. "If I read Dick Cheney right, he's got to be just devastated. I guess he's so measured with what he does say personally, but boy, I'd think on something of this nature, you'd let your feelings [be] known."

He was going to comment on it, so I'm not really sure how this was sticking it to the libbies. I'm glad he came out and said what he said. It is a terrible thing on so many levels. That fact that so much protocal with regards to the reporting of this was broken still remains an issue. I'll watch the interview and reflect on this futher, but I can understand the perspective that if I had just shot someone, I probably would be able to really talk to the press because I would be so distraught. Who knows though and I home more comes out of this.
The man made a mistake. He owned up to it. Many here could take a lesson from him. I don't bow hunt but I would hunt with him. It was an accident, We all have them. Some are worse that others but anyone who is humane will have some accidents. I would say get over it and good hunting.
Cheney said he had a beer at lunch that day, but nobody was drinking when they went hunting several hours later.
I personally don't have a problem with a beer at lunch. However every time I see it mentioned on this site or other sites people go ballistic over this. Saying things like they wouldn't ever allow any alcohol in camp to wait until after the hunt. What's that crowd have to say about this?
