Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

And Bill Frist leads the list, wasting the senate's time with this nonsense.

He should go quail hunting with Cheney.

1. Poisoning the air
2. Poisoning the water
3. Killing poor people
4.Giving old people dogfood to eat
5.Cutting off your Aunt Mary's Social Security.

I wish both parties would beat the drum about the minimum wage. Although it doesnt affect me, it does alot of famlies.

Those against it for years have claimed an increase would just cause the cost of living to go up. Guess what, it already has bigtime, yet the minimum wage has remained static.

If we dont want welfare, and want people to work, then they have to be able to get to work and buy groceries.

Democrats in Missouri introduced legislation to raise the minimum wage this year, but I don't think it will ever make it out of committee. On a national level, didn't both parties have bills to increase the minimum wage last year? One was sponsored by Ted Kennedy and the other by Rick Santorum? Sad that the parties agreed it needed to be done, but neither party wants the other party to getcredit for doing it.

If you really have a valid opinion on why the minimum wage should not be raised, it might behoove you to try to explain it. I think if your future post about it is coherent, most here will be able to understand it (regardless of their politics. If youare justagainst it, but can't really explain why, that's ok, but you don't need todrag the rest of that bs along. Just say"I'm against it" and leave it at that.

Yes please explain Rev. Since milk is well over $3 a gallon now, and fuel is always going to be much higher than when the current minimum wage was set, please inform me why it shouldnt be raised. Isnt the economy doing well?

In Rural area where people habe long frives to and from work, many cant afford to work and lay on welfare instead. They lose money by trying to be productive members of society. When it comes to feeding your kids, you do what is best for your family.

The Cost of Living has greatly increased, so please tell me why the lowest income earners shouldnt benefit from this economy as well.
