I saw on the news last night that they're planning to open up a casino in Limerick, PA (western Montgomery County). I really don't want a casino in my backyard. Fast Eddie will ruin this state.
Casino licenses have not been allocated yet. What you are probably seeing is a group of business people who submitted a proposal for a casino sight. Proposed sights are scattered across the state including by the Gettysburg National Park. Still a long way from any casinos being built. Alot of "talk" going on.
They own the land already. They just need to get the permit. There are a few other applicants. I would guess it depends on how much money they have to grease the wheels.

T is right. As of now, the licenses have not been given out. There are a lot of businesses trying to get them so you are probably right about the greasing.....
If they don't give a slots license to the Penguins, I swear I'll make it my personal missionseethat every incumbent politician at the local, county and state level is ousted.
Just the thought of EdRendell makes me queasy. What a slimeball.

Yeah, it seems strange at face value. However, those towers have been there for about 30 years. We hunt and fish around here and have lots of woods and open spaces. The casino will over-run our little oasis with city crap. The joke around here was always that the cooling towers kept people away - more land for us. It used to be true......
