Im not trying to be racist here, but I wonder if the stats have anything to do with the attitude some people of color have towards creating illegitamite kids. I hear black men say, "I gave her a baby" or black women say "thats my first babie daddy, and so and so is my second babies daddy." Like I said, im not trying to be races, im involved with lots of people from all colors, and this is just a disturbing thing Ive noticed with some in the black culture. Its almost a badge of honor, which I find disturbing.

I'm guessing not much will be made of this either. If you look at the study, the infection rate among heterosexual blacks (both male and female) went down. I don't think the reverand has really taken up the gay cause, has he? I'm thinking he'll stay away from it.

If we want toassign blame, how about focusing on the selfish, ignorant individuals who feel that the inconveniences of wearing a condom are more important to consider than the overwhelming health benefits potentiallyshared by both partners.

He (and most ANY non-white "leader" in the world) has ALWAYS blamed AIDS on whitey.

Nevermind the fact that 70% of black babies born in America today are born out of wedlock. Nevermind the rampant drug use and multiple partner sexual relations in black America.

Nope, as usual libbies don't want ANYTHING to do with the truth. They just want to blame everything on whitey and then expect us to give them money "just because".

The article is a little confusing but it seems like all groups of African Americans are actually having a decline in HIV rates with the single exception of gay African American men. This last group is skewing the statistics for African Americans. There is a similar increase in HIV among white males having sex with other males. I wonder if the percentage of gay African American males compared to the entire african American population is a higher percentage for that racial group than the percentage of gay white males compared to the entire white racial group? Sometimes statistics can be deceptive when you don't look at their context.

Actually, AIDS was first discovered in a Swedish airline steward (trust me...My sister, head RN of a major hospital, has done TONS of research with medical colleagues of hers over the years). Anyway, the very first ever AIDS patient was that Swedish airline steward and he contracted it somehow from Chimpanezes (don't ask, let's just not go there....

). So, it spread like wildfire through the gay community and through the drug community, where it still is running rampant. So, in this day and age, which race is still heavily into crack cocaine and heroin? I'll give ya three guesses..

Jesse Jackson just needs to take a good look in the mirror before he starts going off like he always does. [:'(]

Burnie I would not bet money on AIDS starting in Africa, when they first recognized AIDS and published the symptoms there was an old retired Doctor from San Fransisco who thought the symptoms sounded exactly like a guy who he treated who had died in San Fransisco in the ealry 50's.

The guy was a sailor, not that it really matters, but anyhow by some freak occurence they still had tissue samples of him in storage, they pulled them out and tested them. The guy died from AIDS in the 50's!!! Wrong continent, wrong race, and wrong coast to tie it to Africa.
