'Air America's" ratings/finances

Tucker Carlson spoke about this last night. I wish I could find a decent article to post/link to. Basically, their ratings are dropping like a rock, yet salaries, Al Franken's especially, are soaring. The entire network is being funded by some weathy lib. If you do the math, they haven't made a profit for quite some time, if ever.

Are you referring to the Air America portrayed in the Mel Gibson film of the same name ?
If so , I don't think they were ever intended to show a profit . Great movie though ...

I just don't find the Air American shows to be entertaining. I have tried to listen to that gal Rhode's show to balance out the conservative stuff I listen to. She is simply so hostile that her attempts at humor fall flat, and her comments often cross over into the irrational. Some of the organizations that advertise on her show are so extreme, they sound crazy. One such ad claimed, in all seriousness, that Bush would not be happy until every tree in America is cut down. Even folks like Franken, who i consider to be a good political satirist, suddenly begin to take themselves way too seriously once they get behind the shows microphone.So, they may maintain a hardcore liberal following, but I don't think they can compete for the moderate crowd or more mainstream liberal audience.

Al Franken does take himself way too seriously, he has talent for sure, but instead of using his talent, he goes off in angry tirades. Not really very entertaining to listen too.

Air America is run much the same way that liberal Democrats have run the federal government. It's simply a matter of time before the network implodes.
