Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Saddam to sue Bush and Blair

Defence lawyers for Saddam Hussein Wednesday distributed copies of a lawsuit against President Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair for destroying Iraq.
The suit accuses Bush and Blair of committing war crimes by using weapons of mass destruction and internationally-banned weapons including enriched uranium and phosphoric and cluster bombs against unarmed Iraqi civilians, notably in Baghdad, Fallujah, Ramadi, al-Kaem and Anbar.
The Amman-based legal team had said Sunday that the ousted president intended to start legal action against the two leaders of the Iraq war in the International Criminal Court in the Hague, but the text of the suit was made available Wednesday.
The suit also accuses the U.S. president and British prime minister of torturing Iraqi prisoners, destroying Iraq's cultural heritage with the aim of eliminating an ancient civilization, and inciting internal strife.
Bush and Blair were also accused of polluting Iraq's air, waters and environment.
The lawsuit demanded that Bush and Blair appear before court to answer the charges filed against them and requested the harshest punishment in line with Dutch legislation and the rules of international and humanitarian laws.
It also requested compensation for all material and moral damage inflicted on the Iraqi people.

Rumors have been abound about the uranium and such, but have been denied by the US Administration.
Could this accusation and subsequent legal action prove these things?
You would have to think to make such a bold declaration, he would have evidence to back it up.
thing is the West are probably more guilty than Saddam in WMD. Ironic

Saddam should look in the mirror. And his attorneys should be ashamed of themselves.[:@]

Saddam doesn't have a legal leg to stand on. This is simply one more example of his egocentrism at work. The man has made a conscious effort to behave like a spoiled child since day one of his imprisonment. I really don't care if he realizes it or not, but he is no longer the president of Iraq and has no authority to act on the country's behalf.

Despite what the loony left says about Abu Graib, or civilian casualties, Bush and Blair have both prosecuted the war properly and within the limits of international law. There simply is no legal arguments otherwise that will stand up in court, provided bias is eliminated from any judges that may be involved.

Most disgusting of all is the blatant hypocrisy of a tyrannical mass-murderer lecturing and belittling the two leading free and democratic nations in the world. May he hang by the neck in a public square....

Gee, and I guess all those Kurds and people that he tortured and killed, humiliated and stole from for 35 years are just pittance! What I am ammazed is that anyone, even the most dastardly of the democrats would or could believe such drivel.

I think that it is ironic that one of the people who abused the whole concept of "fair courts" is the one who is exploiting and capitalizing on the idea that everyone is entitled to a fair and impartial hearing.

From the outset, hussains goal has been to make a mockery of the entire legal process. He seems to understand the minds of the liberal media very well.

This seems to be yet another stab at the heart of those who want to uphold freedom, and all of the concepts and ideals that go along with it.

By the way...How would one go about using just "enriched uranium" to harm someone...It is an ingrediant in a nuclear device, not a weapon into and upon itself. It should be obvious to only the most casual observer that we have as yet to detonate a nuclear weapon in Iraq...However....Depleated uranium on the other hand is one of the most hardest substances on the planet, and as a result, armor piercing rounds are made of it....

As much as I would like to read a link to the accusations concerning the use of enriched uranium by our forces in this war, I am bemused by the thought that it would most likely have originated from a French (Puke, Puke) source.

I think Suddams point is,If you came to prosecute me for useingWMD and chemicals on civilians you are just as guilty. And I think he is correct.I am not defending him but he does have some good points though. We accidently killed over 250,000 Iraqi civillians since the invasion of Iraq trying to take control of it. 250,000 civllians how can this be without WMD?This would be alot of missed targets with bombs then.

How can you sue for the destruction of something that you don't personally own ?
