Well, given the Draconian anti-gun laws in many areas, you would have a hard time demonstrating that we do have a universally recognized "right" to "keep and bear arms." I'm not trying to start an argument, just point out the obvious under current legal circumstances.

It would be one hell of a shootout if they tried to take my guns. They would have to "bring the house" on this one because if i go down its going to be in a blaze of glory!!

Sorry, but I'm not the surrendering kind. I have taken an oath tosupport and defend the Constitution of the United States, and I meant it.

"I, Jeff Mathiews, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."

Title 5 Section 3331 of the United States Code. Required of civil servants and uniformed service.

If the 2nd amendment was removed, then to uphold the constitution you would have to surrender your arms. Just because you may not agree, you still have to uphold the constitution.
