Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Canadian Border Gun Battle--Agents Unarmed

I was not aware that Canadian Border agents are unarmed. Something else in Canada for their conservatives to fix.

Chase, Gun Battle Shuts Down U.S.-Canadian Border
Wednesday, January 25, 2006

BLAINE, Wash."”A high-speed chase that ended in gunfire closed the U.S.-Canadian border crossing near here for hours Tuesday, authorities said. Two men sought in a California homicide were arrested after one of them was shot and wounded.
The crossing is one of the busiest on the U.S. northern border. Traffic was diverted to the Pacific Highway crossing about a mile to the east as police investigated.
An unspecified number of Canadian border agents, who are unarmed, left their posts during the incident because they were concerned about their safety, said Paula Shore, a spokeswoman for the Canada Border Services Agency. Managers took over and security was not compromised, she said.

The sad part is that once the dust settles their goob will probably blame the whole thing on us , and especially the guns . Uh , those guys are supposed to be GUARDING THE BORDER , don't you think that maybe they should have guns ? [:@]

The border guards are unarmed which is fine by me. The RCMP are suppose to be posted at the main border x-ings and this is to be beefed up by the new gov.

Why would you not want your border guards armed?

Whether one considers firearms to be politically incorrect or not, it's prettyabsurd to show up unarmed when it's clear that your adversaries have access to all the weapons they could want or need. Failing to defend yourself against violent criminals and terrorists is pretty foolish no matter how you look at it.

lmao, the Palestinians have elected terrorists to run things for them, Russia has announced they are gonna continue once again to produce radioactive material for Iran. And all Canada can produce is un-armed border guards? ROFLMFAO What do they give their border guards, night sticks and a set of spike strips?

The article stated that the guards fled for fear of their safety and depended up the various mgrs and higher ranks take over. LMAO, are we sure this was in Canada or in Washington D.C.? This sounds like something the Federal Government would do, here comes trouble so tell everyone to clear out and call in the senior most officers to clean up the mess.

I am glad to see that we aren't the ONLY ones on this continent being held hostage by the liberals,

I don't know about that. I hear those sasquatch get pretty nasty after downing a few cases of Molson Ice. [8D]

If feral cats ever make a run for the border NorthTexan could be the only one capable of bailing them out.

I can see it now a box of Meow Mix in one hand & scattergun in the other !
