Default The state of the homosexual union...

In the last 3 or 4 years or so, dozens of TV shows have featured homosexuals in a variety of settings, including fashion police, decorators and designers.

Usually homosexual stereotypes are advanced and therefore perpetuated.

Homosexuals aside from their sexuality, are unremarkable. They are not particularly superior when it comes to anything in particular and that includes fashion and interior/exterior decorating...nor are they inferior. Aside from their sexuality, they are smart, dumb, witty, dull, remarkable, boring, fat, skinny, etc, etc.

what we have then, is a well-honed patronization and an advancement of stereotypes of a people that eagerly hope to be accepted as just like you and me.

They should feel used and abused. I seriously doubt that is the case.

Your thoughts?

It seems like most people who are pushing these shows are the militant homosexuals and the results show.

It would also appearthat they plan to inundate the hetero public with their message until they either wear us down or somehow convince us that they're normal and should be accepted . The recent Golden Globe awards are more than sufficient to prove it .

I prefer Gay male waitstaff because, in my opinion, they are more efficient and courteous.Judging by your typical Broadway show, they're better dancers too[&o]

I can't stand to watch men kiss, though[:'(]

I believe the word that best describes how they feel is proud, VC. Patronized or exploited, in the end they want attention and equality. That's what they are getting. What not a better time in our history to be gay.

On the flipside, or my way of thinking in relation to what's going on in this day and age, every way of life must be put out there for us to observe and more importantly accept. Why? It's all part of the bigger picture including demoralizing this nation.

Looking at the gay lifestyle is no different than observing illegal aliens flooding over the borders and eating away the fabric of this great nation one economic bite at a time.

In other words, certain things need to happen to take this planet to its next phase - one of them is for a great brainwashing to take place that leads us to accept anything. Sooner or later we'll accept giving up our rights to bear arms and look at it as meaningless as homosexuals, illegal aliens, offshore work forces taking over, killing the neighbor's cat while afield, etc. etc....

I'd have to disagree on that. I've never found gay waiters to more efficient or courteous than a good waitress. I haven't seen that many broadway shows to judge but I doubt that gays are better at that either. Just another myth like interior decorating.

Well, Cal, can we at least agree that we don't like to watch men kiss?[&:]

Pretty heavy stuff there badshot, unfortunately, I feel you are correct in your assumption, but also feel that we are not powerless yet to prevent the implosion. I hope.
