Hmmm ... if you can't get mainstream America to accept you for being gay then why not just put the pressure on the churches hoping that their considerable influence on the public will help you win the day? But wait a minute , doesn't every single mainstream religion frown on homosexuality ? The holy books of the Big Three all say that God hates homosexuals and will punish them in the afterlife , so what makes these pansies think this idea will succeed ?
Your thoughts ?

RE: Bless me father for I have sinned , but I have rights too .
If I recall correctly, it was said in the bible that right would be considered wrong and wrong considered right in the end days. The homosexual community is not interested in conforming to the rules of any church because they would have to quit their sinful ways. instead, they want to change the churches and make their sin acceptable or legal in the eyes of the church. Doing so poses some problems.
1. A church accepting homosexuality is now going against the teachings of God.
2. A church that changes such a basic belief has now opened itself up to the possibility of changing other basic beliefs.
3. This slippery slope of men deciding what is moral instead of God leads away from God and is similar to the eating of forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden.

Good post, Cal.
The "gay community" we are speaking of hereare the ones who do not seekhelp dealing with their sin, they are merelypushing their acceptance agenda on everyone, including the church. The church is not "excluding" anyone, it is only excluding the sin. I have yet to see a church that didn't welcome sinners.
