Wire tapping, how dare he.
Im not saying Bush is our best president, but I find it real odd how the demos are making such a big deal over wire tapping. Are we to believe wire tapping is so much moreof an atrocity than warrantless physical searches. This is the kinda crap that makes me feel the Demo. party is about to kill themselves. I wish they would find steady ground to rally around instead of looking like a bunch of cry babies. We need to kill this two party system and get a little broader in scope.
In 1994, President Clinton expanded the use of warrantless searches to entirely domestic situations with no foreign intelligence value whatsoever.

In 1978, for instance, Attorney General Griffin B. Bell testified before a federal judge about warrantless searches he and President Carter had authorized against two men suspected of spying on behalf of the Vietnam government.

Democrats and Republicans are making a big deal about wire tapping. Warrantless searches are just as bad as wire tapping, but is that supposed to make it ok? It seems like Republicans wasted an awful lot of time and money investigating and impeaching clinton for getting a little in the oval office. When was the outcry then? Maybe they were too busy worrying about the critical issue of Monica and her dress to get around to that. Warrantless searches or wire tapping are both unconstitutional IMO, but when does two wrongs make a right? At least Democrats are asking quesitons that are of serious national importance.
It seems like Republicans wasted an awful lot of time and money investigating clinton for getting a little in the oval office instead of asking legitimate questions.
They also spend inordinate amounts of time excusing the president instead of seriously addressing the damage he does to all American premises by way of questionable practices for the purposes of expediency.

That is precisely why I made this statement.

I feel an inordinate amount of money is wasted on the party bashing and diatribe forming. Im sick of both parties. Both are equally guilty.

Am I the only one who still lives by the old adage: If you aint guilty of anything then you don't have anything to worry about???
I am so sick and tired of hearing about this subject. President Bush's "men in black" aren't listening too my phonecalls, they aren't hiding in the bushes in front of my home looking to convict me of living the daily American life. They are out to stop the scum who is hell bent on ending my freedoms and who in general have a disrespect for our established laws of morality in this nation. If they must tap some scumbags phone to catch him or stop the next raghead from highjacking another plane then I say HAVE AT IT.
The Bush administration is blamed for EVERYTHING that is wrong in this nation yet never congratulated for getting it right. Several terroristic acts have been prevented globally since 9/11. What is wrong with using sub-level tactics to catch the criminals? The first rule of catching bad guys is that you must first think like one. The bad guys don't follow the rules so doesn't it make sense that in order to catch them you sometimes must also break those rules?
What's funny is that nothing illegal has been done. It's the President's job to lead the protection of the country in & out of times of war. We're now in a time of war, as it seems that has been forgotten by many. What is happening is that US telephone numbers that are found in material left behind by terrorists are watched, and when these numbers are called from the middle east these calls are listened to. The calls of you & I - unless you're talking to terrorists - are not being listened to. This is well within not only the President's powers but part of the President's responsibility to do things like this. What's happening is that the howler monkeys in the left, democrat party, & old mainstream media are screeching & throwing poop about this without looking @ the facts & law. It would not take much research to find out that what is happening is well within the law & is part of any President's responsibility.
he calls of you & I - unless you're talking to terrorists - are not being listened to.
Good grief, is it that easy for you to rationalize this?
Amazing.

With all due respect, please do the research. I'll stand by, but I won't hold my breath waiting for such definitive results that you say are so easily attainable.

I didn't hear the fat lady sing. Did I miss something in the news, or are you simply surmising?
