Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Letterman and O'Rielly

This was a little while ago but did anyone else catch it? I thought Letterman put him in his place, and anyone that says O'Rielly looks better after this is living in a dream world.

Just confirmed with a co-worker that I am indeed awake at the moment..... I thought exactly the opposite. I'm not a big O'Reilly fan myself but appreciate his character on certain points. I also appreciate Letterman from strictly an entertainment perspective - the rest of what he stands for is not only far left, but often not very well backed up.

My take on that interview was that Bill backed Dave into a corner and only when Letterman was trapped did he resort to attempted comedy to bail out of the event. O'Reilly squelched Letterman's political and world views. And he did it with ease. Congrats to Bill.

Letterman handed O'Rielly his ass on a plate for him! Rumor has it Bill is still on the radio trying to downplay it saying Letterman is an "entertainer" and such.

Letterman lost points when he said something to the effect that 60% of what BO says on his TV show is crap but then turns around and said he couldn't defend his statement because he never watches the show.

Both guys are just entertainment. Their banter is the intellectual equivalent ofwatching mudwrestling, minus the scantily clad chiicks.

O'Rielly is still doing damage control. How funny is it to watch him bring people on his show to tell him he's right, and that he got the better of Letterman. The whole thing is facetious.

He'sabout as bad as Limbaugh. Occasionally alegitimate caller will make it past the screeners. When that happens they can often get Rush onthe ropesin a matter ofseconds. But then theyget cut off and Rush will spend the next hour trying to spin things in his favor.

Seriously, I don't understand your observation at all. Please explain. I watched the program that night, I've reviewed remarks on the net and watched the broadcast again and for the life of me cannot begin to know what in the hell you are talking about here, MT. Again, I'm not a fan of Bill but am a fan of Letterman albeit I seriously disagree with his political views. Explain where Bill stumbled and where Letterman so brilliantly picked up the lead and tossed him aside like a ragdoll. I missed it.
